Philosopy

At Farmhouse Kinder, we strive to grow little learners in a nurturing environment that instils a love of knowledge for three- and four-year-old children. These early years lay the foundation for shaping each child’s personality, abilities, and attitudes.

We value and actively seek the voices of children, recognising them as capable and curious learners. Through intentional conversations, we invite children to share their thoughts about kinder—what it means to them, why they come, and what they enjoy—helping shape our practices and strengthen their sense of belonging.

Our educators embrace a play-based learning approach, where purposeful and meaningful play builds the skills and confidence needed for a successful transition to school. We encourage children to explore, imagine, and express themselves freely, supporting their intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development.

As a faith-based organisation, we are committed to teaching Christian values and helping children understand the importance of compassion, kindness, and respect for themselves and others. Inspired by the Free to Flourish framework, we aim to develop children who are purposeful in their actions, adventurous in their learning, relational in their interactions, and compassionate in their care for others.

Farmhouse Kinder provides a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where each child is known and valued. We uphold the Australian Child Safe Standards and prioritise the well-being and cultural safety of all children, including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
